There are some people in Debian who insist on misgendering and deadnaming trans- or non-binary people. There are others who get upset if the first group is criticized or told to stop. All of these haters are part of why I don't want to be in the Debian project anymore.
There are also people in Debian who are kind, wise, and suppotive to a degree that is incredible. Unfortunately, it's not enough to undo the damage the haters do.
I'm not going back until the haters are gone.
You'd think after 30 years we'd have invented something saner. But hello, we're humans, have you met us?
@sir what I'm basically getting at is that it's fundamentally selfish to say "I want this to be in my fave language for generally no end-user reason and fuck the practical consequences"
Social Media Platforms are a liability to the businesses that run them. Specifically, Youtube is a liability to Google's other businesses.
"I was raised by the fae," said the fair boy with slim fingers, glowing faintly.
"I was raised by wolves," grinned the freckly girl, hair a nest of snarls; claw like nails at the tips of her limbs.
"I was raised by mermaids," confessed the dusky teen with shimmering skin and webbed fingers.
"I was raised by middle-class parents... so I can drive us all to the mall if you want?"
The unlikely friends piled in for a shopping adventure.
