electoral politics is a miserable front with generally poor leverage, but if you can i highly recommend voting.

it’s said “if voting changed anything, it’d be illegal” and, well, it is increasingly illegal. voter disenfranchisement, intimidation, etc.

while i recognize that concessions and compromise in a den of bluebloods and fascists is not my idea of justice or progress, it remains a front. only through a diversity thereof are we strong.

More detail, looks like "likes" show up for quoted posts, not the post doing the quoting. so if post A quotes post B, likes for post A show up as likes for post B. This can lead to some very misleading stuff.

To any of my friends still on birdsite, I've been getting reports from several friends and colleagues saying people are seeing things show up in their feed as "liked" by friends/followers that those friends never actually pressed like on. So if you see a post "liked" by someone that seems out of left field, this may be why.
All this unconfirmed by me personally, so take with a grain of salt.
